Egypt’s leading quick commerce platform, has partnered with Blu EV, the country’s pioneer in
e-mobility solutions, to launch the first eco-friendly electric delivery motorcycle fleet powered
by smart battery-swapping technology This innovative partnership aims to redefine quick
commerce in Egypt by merging cutting-edge technology with environmentally friendly transportation
improving operational efficiency while minimizing the carbon footprint and noise pollution associated
with traditional delivery motorcycles
Revolutionizing Delivery with Smart Battery Swapping
The fleet leverages Blu EV’s smart battery-swapping system, enabling riders to replace
depleted batteries with fully charged ones in under 60 seconds This ensures continuous
delivery operations with lower running costs, reduced emissions, and quieter urban streets
compared to conventional motorcycles The pilot phase launched in March 2025 in Sheikh
Zayed with 7 electric motorcycles, expanded in June to El Gouna, and extended to six additional
zones by September Today, the system comprises over 140 Blu EV-powered electric motorcycles
covering more than 250,000 kilometers, reducing over 25,000 kilograms of CO₂ emissions, and
contributing to lower noise pollution in residential areas
