25%. Shokry attributed the company’s strong performance to its diversified strategy, which allowed for
robust sales growth despite challenges such as heightened competition and expanding into new
geographical markets He acknowledged that while competition in key markets, notably in Egypt
and margin pressures in Saudi Arabia in the second half of the year affected profit margins
these challenges were expected in the early stages of market expansion. Shokry emphasized
that entering new markets often involves accepting lower initial margins to establish a
sustainable foothold
International Revenue Growth and the Expansion into New Markets
Elsewedy Electric has successfully increased its international revenue share, which now
accounts for about 70% of total revenues compared to around 30% from Egypt’s domestic
market Gulf markets are the largest contributors, generating 35% to 40% of total revenues
while Algeria and the United Kingdom are also showing positive results
As part of its strategic efforts to grow in Asia and the Americas, the company is expanding into
new markets such as Indonesia, further diversifying its geographic presence beyond the traditional
markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe This expansion aligns with Elsewedy Electric’s
long-term vision of strengthening its global footprint Additionally, around 70% of the Group’s
revenues are now denominated in foreign currencies, highlighting the increasingly international
