The CMA CGM Foundation and the Egyptian Food Bank have renewed their partnership
in 2026 to continue supporting communities facing food insecurity across Egypt This year
the collaboration will provide more than 10,200 food parcels to families in need, benefiting
approximately 50,000 individuals The first phase of the food distribution took place in Cairo
and Alexandria during the Holy Month of Ramadan, ensuring that vulnerable families had
access to essential food supplies at a critical time
CMA CGM Group Employees Join Efforts in Cairo and Alexandria
In March 2026, 30 employees from CMA CGM Group, led by Tariq Zaghloul, CEO of CMA CGM Egypt
partnered with volunteers from the Egyptian Food Bank to pack and distribute food parcels in Cairo
The first event was followed by a second distribution in Alexandria the next day, with a continued
focus on supporting the most underserved communities These distributions are part of an ongoing
series of initiatives planned for the year, which aim to ensure long-term, sustainable impact in these
cities and beyond We are proud to renew our partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank and continue
supporting vulnerable communities across Egypt, said Tariq Zaghloul, CEO of CMA CGM Egypt

Supporting 50,000 Individuals with Nutritious Meals
This partnership is expected to provide much-needed support to 50,000 individuals across Egypt
ensuring they receive nutritious meals throughout the year The CMA CGM Foundation and Egyptian
Food Bank are committed to creating a sustainable, positive impact on the lives of families facing
food scarcity In 2025, the collaboration successfully distributed over 7,000 food parcels in Cairo
and Alexandria, with 30 volunteers from CMA CGM playing a pivotal role in the distribution efforts

The CMA CGM Foundation’s Global Commitment to Food Security
The CMA CGM Foundation is dedicated to addressing food insecurity globally, providing
financial, human, and logistical support to strengthen food distribution efforts. The Foundation
partners with leading food aid organizations, such as Restos du Coeur, French Food Banks
Secours Populaire, Secours Catholique, and ANDES in France and its overseas territories
In Lebanon, the Foundation also plays a key role in distributing hot meals and constructing
a community kitchen in Beirut, capable of serving 3,000 meals daily
Furthermore, the CMA CGM Foundation’s impact extends beyond Europe and the Middle East
reaching regions like the United States through a partnership with The Salvation Army
Through its sustained global commitment, the Foundation has distributed over 12 million
meals worldwide to those facing food insecurity
